HEY, so I finally did the thing, ahahaha. Ha. Haha.

If you have any questions or need more clarification for anything, feel free to ask! I'll be more than happy to impart any additional headcanon I have for canon situations, as well as details on how I play him at Ataraxion!




.:: PERSONALITY ::.

• brave, brash, and bold.


• everything to the opposite extreme: he is extravagant with money but counters it with generosity, is talkative yet eloquent, is insolent in his boldness.


• contentious with a knack for "indulg[ing] in the sort of words that break everything."


• "had daring waistcoats and scarlet opinions."


• neither minds where he treads nor how lightly -- especially when offended.


• "lov[ed] nothing so much as a quarrel, unless it were an uprising; and nothing so much as an uprising, unless it were a revolution; always ready to smash a window-pane, then to tear up the pavement, then to demolish a government, just to see the effect of it."


• yet still more of a thinker than appeared to view, so not at all a brute. (I play him a little more on the thinker side now that the injustices of society are no longer present for him to fight for.)


• laughter is his strongest trait: the unrestrained power of his conviviality and brazen mockery of that which he deems perfunctory.

.:: MEMORIES IN CANON ::.

• fellow law student Lallemand being shot in the back, helping to trigger Bahorel's descent into academic delinquency and revolutionary fervour


• his horror and outrage at the protest dispersing as rain begins to fall


• a mental mapping of every bar and cafe and other such meeting place in early 1800s Paris


• sauntering through said streets of Paris, never being quite at home at any of said bars and cafes


• joining the Amis and finally having a place to call home


• explaining his love life to Joly, and imparting Real Advice


• greeting and inviting new recruits for the cause


• random scuffles in bars and alleyways, sometimes angry, usually just finding it hilarious and exciting


• his indignance at being granted permission to do something as simple as eat eggs. also daring waistcoats.


• his complete adoration of their beautiful barricade


• watching Javert get outed as a spy, then unthinkingly sacrificing himself to save his friends and the barricade

• first jump: amusement and happiness to seeing his friends all right, and their deaths not for naught


• being mind-controlled by those demons that one time, and being snapped out of it thanks to a nasty hit from his biffle Jehan


• that one time Combeferre got really drunk


• accidentally antagonizing the biffle and thus being the only negative CR either of them has had thus far whoops (01 | 02 | 03)
